Canadian Shield

In Haida Nation v BC [2004] at (32), the Supreme Court of Canada confirmed the Crown’s assertion of sovereignty over an Aboriginal people only led to the de facto control of ‘land and resources’ that were formerly in the control of that people.

Further, the role of the Crown’s governor-general also is of a de facto head of State. *   Finally, the definition of “an officer, king/queen, or government de facto is one who is in actual possession of the office or supreme power, but by usurpation, or without respect to lawful title.”  **

Therefore, the de jure or lawful allodial title to the ‘land and resources’ of Turtle Island never left the Stewardship of the Clan Mothers in Council, and so today form the backbone of TUMULT’s Vault Cash system.
